PHYSICIAN CME

Accreditation Statement

The Los Angeles Radiological Society (LARS) is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation Statements

RADIOLOGY - LARS designates the Radiology Conference, a live activity, for a maximum of 13 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

RADIATION ONCOLOGY - LARS designates the Radiation Oncology Conference, a live activity, for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CMA Certification

This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.

TECHNOLOGIST CE

Category A CE Credit has been approved  by the ASRT.  

- Radiology Program - Up to 13 Cat. A credits are available for attending the entire radiology program.

- Radiation Oncology Program - Up to 14 Cat. A credits are available for attending the radiation oncology program.

- Nuclear Medicine Program - (Saturday Only) Up to 6.5 Cat. A credits are available for attending the entire nuclear medicine program.

       

VOICE participants - ASRT is an approved RCEEM.  Technologists may submit attendance documents to SNMTS and have these credits added to your VOICE transcripts.

ADDITIONAL CME INFORMATION

The 69th Annual Midwinter Conference has been planned in accordance with the ACCME criteria, policies, and standards for CME activities.  Further, this activity is in compliance with the California Legislature and ACCME definitions of CME content, and California Assembly Bill 1195, and its amendments, which requires CME activities with patient care components to include curriculum in the subjects of cultural and linguistic competency. LARS accepts responsibility for validating the clinical content of this CME activity.

CME Accreditation & Designation Statements 

This conference has been designed primarily to address the educational needs of radiologists, radiation oncologist, and nuclear medicine physicians.  We welcome radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine residents and fellows as well as other physicians whose practice would be enhanced by a review and update in the conference focus topics.  Radiologic technologists, radiation therapists, nuclear medicine technologist and practitioners such as physicists and medical dosimetrists with a concern for providing the best and safest care to patients are also encouraged to attend.
